WakeUp Projects was created on the base of many years of experience in managing Erasmus+ projects and a wide and trusted network of contacts with entrepreneurs, schools and public institutions in the heart of Algarve.
We specialize in managing international mobilities of students and teachers (KA121, KA122) putting an emphasis on innovation, promoting ecological solutions and digitization.
What distinguishes us on the market is full flexibility and individual approach to our clients and their needs. Our priority is to create a comprehensive professional and cultural experience that will help trainees broaden their horizons, gain self-confidence and skills that will allow them to stand out on the labour market.
We want to wake up young people's curiosity, openness to the new, and a willingness to overcome barriers and face the challenges of the modern world.
To create comfortable conditions for trainees, our team consists of young and multilingual coordinators (including English, Polish, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian).
At WakeUp Projects, we focus on relationships and believe that together we can build a better tomorrow.
What distinguishes the region are friendly and open-minded residents who, unlike most Southerners, speak English! An undoubted advantage is also the fact that you can move around Faro on foot. Among the charming ports, fishing coves and colourful azulejos, everyone will feel at home.
The proximity of the ocean and over 300 sunny days ensure that the temperatures are always pleasant, and the tourist season lasts almost all year round.
The symbols of Algarve are infinite white sand beaches and secret bays surrounded by massive cliffs. Almost the entire region is part of a nature reserve, where you can observe a variety of bird species and discover unique flora and fauna hidden among rocks and islands reachable only by local boats.
Contrary to typical touristic regions, Algarve stands up for the slow city concept, the main goal of which is to maintain a balance between tourism and the normal life of residents, introduce ecological solutions, promote local culture and customs, and maintain high quality of services at reasonable prices. The best example of this approach is healthy, simple Portuguese cuisine based on local products.
Faro's advantage is a well-functioning communication hub, including the airport in the city itself Moreover, Lisbon and Seville (Spain) are just two hours away and all the major cities and resorts such as Lagos or Villamoura can be reached by cheap public transportation.
In addition to traditional sectors such as ceramics, fishing, port industries, tourism or agriculture, Algarve invests in research on the cleanliness of rivers and oceans, green economy, real estate and protection of biodiversity. Additionally, the largest university in the region and numerous R&D centres are based in Faro.
Thanks to the cooperation with the University, business incubators, research centres and above all the local government in Faro and Loule, we are able to provide participants with professional internships in all sectors.
